FAQ
Here’s a helpful list of some frequently asked questions about the work that we do. Please feel free to get in touch with any other questions you might have!
Is EMS UKAS accredited?
Yes, and you can see the full scope of our UKAS accreditations on our accreditations page.
Is EMS testing accredited for product listings with major supermarkets?
Yes, we are! EMS is approved laboratory for Tesco and Marks and Spencer. We also provide Lidl prelisting reports to our customers.
Is EMS approved to test for poultry farms?
Yes, by DEFRA. EMS is an official laboratory for Salmonella testing under the Control of Salmonella in Poultry Order 2009. In addition, our testing follows the Lion’s Code of Quality, as well as the Animal By-products Regulations.
Furthermore, EMS is the only independent lab in Scotland offering the complete range of UKAS accredited water tests, covering all major water-borne bacteria. This means we are fully equipped and accredited to test the products, flocks, and environments of our poultry industry customers.
